Specifications of Symbalm™

Science

  •  In use for over 2 000 years, lemon balm was traditionally used to relieve mild mental stress and help to sleepiness.
  • Lemon balm’s properties stem from its key phytochemicals, including:
    • phenolic compounds, such as rosmarinic acid,
    • flavonoids, like quercetin,
    • triterpene compounds, like ursolic acid.
  • Lemon balm is also supported by several in vitro and in vivo studies.
In vitro studies with lemon balm, and in particular with rosmarinic acid, suggest that it can regulate anxiety and stress through its GABA-transaminase inhibitory activity and its ability to modulate the monoaminergic system.
