Sourcing
In the historic vineyards of the Champagne region, are sourced grape seeds naturally rich in OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins). These seeds come from hand-harvested grapes, traditionally grown for some of the world’s most renowned wines. By valorizing this agricultural resource, the Group contributes to a more sustainable use of the vine, extending its value beyond winemaking while supporting local viticulture.
Science
Rigorous proprietary preclinical studies reveal a prebiotic effect and 5 key modes of actions for gut health:
- Prebiotic effect through the selective stimulation of good bacteria Faecalibacterium prausnitzii.
- Positive impact on Short Chain Faty Acids production bacteria.
- Protection against free radicals thanks to the modulation of two genes responsible of endogenous antioxidant defenses in intestinal epithelial cells.
- Support of the intestinal wall barrier function through its ability to positively modulate the expression of the components of the mediated tight junction.

In vivo study
In mice colitis model, Biombalance™ helps to regulates inflammation and maintain microbiota symbiosis thanks to its prebiotic effect. A new innovative mechanism of action has been identified through the modulation of ubiquinol pathways.
Human studies
Biombalance™ has been tested at a dosage of 500 mg/day for over two months in 2 human studies (one pilot study and one randomised placebo-controlled study), demonstrating fast and long-lasting digestive discomfort relief during supplementation, as well as noticeable relief from gastrointestinal discomfort and an improvement in quality of life, with high participant satisfaction.
