Sourcing

Rosa gallica, known as the Rose de Provins, is cultivated in France with a long heritage dating back to medieval times. Thriving in well-drained, rich soils and mild climates, this historic rose is grown using traditional practices. The flowers are carefully harvested in bud form to ensure botanical quality. This dedicated sourcing supports a transparent  supply chain, preserving both the authenticity of the rose and its natural surroundings. The resulting authentic natural ingredient is ideally suited for premium cosmetic formulations that demand high quality and sustainability.

Science

Proprietary preclinical studies

-Antioxidant effect (in tubo) :
The antioxidant capacity  of Eye’Light® was assessed, in tubo, in a DPPH assay, which demonstrated dose-dependent free radical neutralisation. This demonstrates that Eye’Light® has the capacity to protect cells against oxidative stress.

-Anti-dark circle effect (in vitro):
An in vitro study on human dermal fibroblasts evaluated the ability of Eye’Light® to inhibit VEGF, a factor that increases microcapillary permeability and contributes to dark circles. Results showed that Eye’Light® reduced VEGF production in a dose-dependent manner, demonstrating its effectiveness in preventing dark circles.

-Anti-slackening effect (in vitro):
An in vitro study on human dermal fibroblasts exposed to UV radiation evaluated the ability of Eye’Light® to protect dermal structure by reducing MMP-1, a collagen-degrading enzyme. Using an ELISA test, results showed that Eye’Light® decreased MMP-1 production in a dose-dependent manner, helping maintain skin structure against UV damage and slowing signs of aging with anti-slackening benefits

Clinical study

-Color difference evaluation:
Eye’Light® was tested in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study on 22 volunteers with dark circles. After 28 days of twice-daily application, the 3% Eye’Light® cream significantly reduced dark circle color compared to placebo and baseline. Volunteers also reported high satisfaction, confirming its visible brightening effect.
