Science

  • The main active constituents of hops include bitter acids (α-acids: humulone and β-acids: lupulone), polyphenols (flavonoids: xanthohumol, 8-prenylnaringenin and 6-prenylnaringenin) and volatile oil.
  • Extracts containing 6-PN and 8-PN have been associated with estrogenic effect, making them important molecules in women heath particularly during menopause, while extracts containing a- and b-acids seem to be correlated with the regulation of healthy inflammation and scavenging capacity against reactive oxygen species.
  • Scientific literature tends to illustrate that hops, thanks to its myriads of phytochemical compounds, can also have a wide range of healthy properties, notably to support healthy aging, global healthy inflammation response and thus including innovative positioning for mobility health.
